¿What is Cursillo?
It's difficult to give an explanation of what a Cursillo is to someone who hasn't experienced it, not because the Cursillo is something secret, but because the Cursillo is an experience, and one must live it personally to understand it. No one can give a good explanation of the way God touches each person. Through the Cursillo and by His grace, Christ touches people in a very special way when they open themselves to an intimate relationship with Him. The Cursillo can help us develop a better understanding of what it means to be Catholic, while also becoming better Christians as we exercise our mission as baptized individuals. The word "Cursillo" means short course, which is nothing more than a workshop that teaches a method that enables baptized Catholics to live out the foundation of Christianity, which is "Love of God and love of neighbor." Cursillos GroupsCursillo is simply a renewal movement which trains and supports its members to live out their lives with prayer, study and action. We plan to support this with regular small men / women group meetings in the Parish family. Our goal is simply to help others and ourselves become better children of God today than we were yesterday.
